Prayer for purification of SOUL:
(Small part from beautiful supplication by Abu Abdullah Imam Hussain(a.s))
“Free my Qalb from showing-off, desire for popularity, and doubt in Your(s.w.t)^1, give me victory in Your(s.w.t) religion, energy to worship, understanding of Your(s.w.t) creatures, support me twice with Your(s.w.t) kindness (in this life and hereafter), brighten my face with Your light, make me interested in what is with You, cause me to die in Your way and in Your religion, the religion of Your Messengers
I seek protection against laziness, old age, cowardice, stinginess, carelessness, hardheartedness, weakness, and destitution.
I seek protection with You, Our Allah against the Nafs that does not become satisfied, the Qalb(Heart) that does not become humble, the supplication that is not heard, and the prayer that does not yield any benefit. I seek protection with You from my Nafs (myself), my family, and my children against condemned Satan.”
